A highly reputable Language School in the beautiful city of Evora, Portugal is actively seeking a professional and competent English Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will assist in the overall execution of English language classes under the direction of our experienced language instructors.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assisting the lead teacher with lesson planning and execution
• Maintaining classroom order and discipline
• Grading students' assignments and providing constructive feedback
• Assisting students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning
• Preparing teaching aids and materials as directed by the teacher
• Covering classes when the lead teacher is absent
• Organizing and participating in language-oriented extra-curricular activities
• Attending staff meetings and professional development sessions

Job Requirements

• Educational background in TEFL, TESOL, Linguistics or any related field
• Exceptional command of both spoken and written English
• Previous teaching or tutoring experience will be a strong asset
• Possession of Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages(TESOL) or an equivalent certification
• Europe-based candidates are preferred due to work permit requirements
