Internship: Kitchen / Cook

Location: Groningen, The Netherlands

We are looking for an experienced Kitchen / Cook intern to join our team at our excellent establishment in Groningen. This internship offers an opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced kitchen. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing meals in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that all dishes are cooked to the highest standard.

Main Responsibilities:

• Preparing and cooking meals in a timely fashion, using fresh ingredients where possible.
• Ensuring that all dishes are cooked to the highest standards.
• Ensuring that all food preparation areas are kept clean and tidy.
• Ordering and stocking supplies and ingredients as necessary.
• Developing new and exciting dishes and menu items.
• Assisting in the development of staff training programs.
• Maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.
• Ensuring all health and safety regulations are adhered to.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen.
• Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques and safety regulations.
• Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High degree of flexibility and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
