Vacancy: German Teaching Assistant

Job Overview

We are in need of a dedicated, driven and professionally prepared German Teaching Assistant to join our fantastic language team at our prestigious language school located on the picturesque island of Tenerife, Spain. This role seeks to contribute to strengthening our German language faculty.

Job Description and Responsibilities

• Support classroom instruction of the German language under the supervision of the assigned teacher.
• Assist in the development and preparation of instructional materials like lesson plans, quizzes, and other teaching aids.
• Oversee and facilitate engaging language activities to help students improve their proficiency in the German language.
• Provide individual and small group tutoring to students who need additional assistance.
• Provide feedback on student's learning progress.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and educational conferences.

Qualification and Personal Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in German Language or Education, or related field.
• Fluency in German (C2 level) and professional proficiency in English. Spanish language proficiency is an advantage but not necessary.
• At least one year teaching or tutoring experience in language teaching, preferably in German.
• Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills.
• Able to work in multicultural environments.
• Valid work permit for Spain
