Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist teachers in planning and implementing lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Support students in their daily academic activities, helping with homework and class assignments.
  • Prepare classroom materials and resources to enhance student engagement.
  • Supervise students during classroom activities and recess, promoting a safe and disciplined environment.
  • Conduct small group sessions to reinforce learning and provide additional support.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers regarding student progress and any concerns.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other professional development activities.

Job Requirements

  • Relevant experience in an educational setting is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent; further education in education or child development is a plus.
  • Fluency in English is essential, with proficiency in Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Patience, compassion, and a genuine passion for helping children learn and grow.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Personal Requirements

  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including possible after-school activities.
  • Background check clearance is required.
