Position: Kitchen/Cook Internship, Evora, Portugal

Job Description

Your role as a Kitchen/Cook Intern will involve working directly under our experienced chefs. You will have a hands-on role in the production of our diverse menu, ranging from traditional Portuguese dishes to innovative multi-cuisine food items. Your daily tasks will include:

• Assisting chefs with the preparation and cooking of meals.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, hygiene-focused kitchen environment.
• Ensuring food storage is compliant with food safety regulations.
• Learning and applying culinary techniques to a variety of different dishes.
• Participating in menu planning and food purchasing.

Qualifications

We are looking for determined, hardworking individuals with a passion for cuisine and a desire to learn and grow. The following qualifications are necessary:

• Must be enrolled in or a recent graduate of a culinary arts degree program.
• Prior kitchen experience, such as in other internships, cooking classes, or professional kitchens, is highly desirable.
• Sound understanding of sanitation and food safety rules.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible to work during weekends, evenings and holidays when necessary.
