We are a leading language school located at the heart of Portugal, Evora. We aim to help people achieve their language learning goals by providing quality and interactive language courses. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and dedicated English teaching assistant to join our professional team.

Job Description:

The primary role of the English teaching assistant is to support our experienced English teachers, while also improving their own teaching skills. You will assist with the planning and delivery of lessons, offer one-on-one assistance to students, help create and manage educational resources, and occasionally lead your own classes under the supervision of the main teachers. You will also be required to monitor student progress, provide feedback, help students with their homework, and maintain a safe and engaging classroom environment. You have the opportunity to collaborate with other language teaching assistants and a chance to contribute innovative teaching techniques and strategies.

Job Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you need to meet the following requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or relevant field
• TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certification is a plus
• At least one year of experience in teaching English to students of varying ages and abilities
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• Basic knowledge of Portuguese is advantageous
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Willingness to learn and continuously improve teaching skills
• Ability to adapt lesson plans to cater to students' various learning styles

Personal Requirements:

Candidates must have a friendly disposition, and a passion for teaching and connecting with students. You must be organized, patient, and able to motivate students to learn and participate in class activities. A professional attitude and an ability to work in team-oriented environments are essential.
