Paid Campaign & Communication Internship in a Human Rights Organization in Berlin, Germany

Our collaborator is an international human rights organization founded in 2019, working in solidarity with occupied peoples around the world. The organization focuses on advocacy, movement building, influencing politicians, working directly with occupied populations, and organizing speaking tours and conferences. The organization's current focus is on Western Sahara, the last colony in Africa. Volunteers, partners, and interns play an integral role in raising awareness and strengthening the solidarity movement for Western Sahara.

 

Tareas

• Assist with mapping institutions in Germany related to Western Sahara, including civil society organizations, political parties, universities, and identifying potential collaboration opportunities

• Research articles, books, documentaries, and other materials about Western Sahara and upload them to the online resource database

• Support in organizing events on Western Sahara with Sahrawi experts, such as university lectures, film screenings, press conferences, and meetings with politicians and human rights organizations

• Assist in document translation and participate in meetings when necessary

• Participate in global events and conferences related to Western Sahara, networking with individuals from across the world

• Learn more about Western Sahara through online meetings with grassroots organizations and movements

 

• Write a final report about your work, reflections, and the contacts made during the internship

Requisitos

• Strong interest in global politics, human rights, and advocacy

• Proactive, organized, and excellent social skills

• Eagerness for professional growth and expanding political knowledge

 

• Fluency in English and German (both oral and written) is a must
