Vacancy: English Teaching Assistant

We are a reputable linguistic school located in the heart of Salamanca, Spain, dedicated to providing students with top-tier language education. Our mission is to provide an innovative and engaging curriculum that motivates and inspires a love for language learning. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our community of educators as an English Teaching Assistant.

Job Duties

• To assist the main English language teacher in preparing lesson plans and teaching materials.
• To support in classroom setting with groups of up to 20 students of varying language proficiency levels.
• To provide necessary additional support to students struggling with language acquisition.
• To collaborate with teaching staff to assess student progress and devise strategies for improvement.
• To facilitate language learning activities that enhance verbal and written competence.
• To participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions and school events as required.

Job Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Education, Linguistics, Modern Languages or a related field, with TEFL, CELTA, or TESOL certification strongly preferred.
• A minimum of one year of professional teaching experience in a similar role is required. Experience within a multicultural environment will be considered an advantage.
• Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
• Fluency in Spanish is not required but will be considered a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
