Our collaborator is a quality accredited translation agency based in Girona, Spain. They are specializing in the translation of technical, scientific and business documentation. Their clients include multinational companies operating in sectors such as Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals, Marketing, Chemicals, and Manufacturing. 

  They offer internship opportunities for undergraduates who are studying translation and would like to gain experience working in a translation agency. You will obtain first-class training and gain important business and project management experience for your future career. It provides a clear insight into all aspects of the world of professional translation. The training will prove to be invaluable professional training as well as the opportunity to experience living and working in Europe.   Internship Role:
This trainee role is an opportunity to work alongside their Vendor Manager and to gain experience in procurement and project management. The role will come with full training and you will be working within an international team.
The qualified candidate will be a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual who would be
able to assist with the effective co-ordination of complex multilingual projects, liaison
with freelance translators and working with the software systems. 
The key objectives of the role are as follows:

• Collaborate with the Project Management and Commercial departments regarding
procurement needs and available resources
• Research industry standard pricing in order to provide up-to-date recommendations
on pricing and resource capacities
• Coordinate with the Quality Assurance department to develop and document
process improvements that address customer complaints as related to procurement
• Assisting the Vendor Manager to recruit, vet, test, and evaluate new external resources
• Assess and maintain data integrity of the vendor database
• Develop innovative ways to find new vendors and ensure the full utilization of vetted
resources

Spanish language or translation skills are not obligatory for the role

o Attention to details is imperative
   Conditions • Working hours: Monday to Thursday: 9-2, 3-6, Friday 9-2.30pm
• Placement period: during 2019-2020 (minimum 6-month placement time)
• Immediate incorporation since the project commenced in August 2019.
• The student will have an official work contract with the company during the
placement period
• Students normally receive an ERASMUS grant but in addition, they provide a salary
of 430€ (minus 2% Spanish tax, legal requirement by Spanish Law)
