Job Title: Education / Teaching Assistant

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the curriculum.
• Support individual students and small groups in various subjects, promoting learning through active engagement.
• Prepare educational materials, resources, and activities to enhance student understanding.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment, fostering positive behavior and cooperation among peers.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and encouragement as needed.
• Facilitate communication between parents, teachers, and students regarding academic performance and classroom behavior.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities to enhance educational practices.
• Contribute to the organization of school events and extracurricular activities.

Job and Personal Requirements

• Previous experience in an educational setting preferred, but not mandatory.
• Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and adapt to various learning styles.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students' learning journeys.
• Fluency in Portuguese and basic proficiency in English is desirable.
