Role Description and Responsibilities

As a Furniture Maker Intern, your primary role would be to assist and collaborate with our team of experienced furniture makers. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in initial product design development and prototype creation.
  • Studying, interpreting and making furniture pieces according to designs and sketches.
  • Working with a wide variety of materials, including wood, metal, and textiles.
  • Utilizing various tools and machinery under the supervision of experienced craftspeople.
  • Paying attention to detail to ensure the production of high-quality products.
  • Nurturing creativity and thinking innovatively to contribute ideas to the team.

Personal and Job Requirements

Potential candidates must:

  • Be pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Furniture Design, Carpentry, or a related field.
  • Have a solid understanding of the fabrication process, including working with both hand and power tools.
  • Show an aptitude for design, creativity, and appreciation for craftsmanship.
  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills for effective team collaboration.
  • Have a keen eye for detail, ensuring quality in every piece.
  • Be willing to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
