Job Description

We are seeking a French Teaching Assistant who will be responsible for supporting the lead French language teacher in delivering effective language instruction. The right candidate will work directly with students, either individually or in small groups, to reinforce acquired skills and language knowledge. In conjunction with classroom instruction, the French Teaching Assistant will also contribute to the ongoing assessment of students' progress and help tailor teaching methods to individual learning styles.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Provide support to the French lead teacher during lessons
• Facilitate small group or individual activities aimed at reinforcing language skills
• Assist in preparing classroom materials and in organizing language-enhancing activities
• Monitor and record students’ progress, providing feedback to the lead teacher
• Help to maintain a positive, interactive, and inclusive classroom environment

Job Requirements

Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree, preferably in French or Education, and previous experience as a teaching assistant or similar role. Demonstrated fluency in French is a requirement, and proficiency in English is advantageous. A teaching assistant certification or professional recognition is highly desirable.

Personal Requirements

Candidates should have a passion for teaching and an interest in facilitating language learning. Excellent organizational and communication skills, along with a commitment to creating a positive, dynamic learning environment, are essential.
