Based in Paris and Berlin, our collaborator stands at the forefront of auteur cinema as an international distributor and producer of bold, award-winning films. The company’s founder has collaborated with prominent and pioneering directors from the earliest stages of their careers. He has produced over forty films to date, the majority of which were selected for the main competitions at the Cannes, Venice, and Berlin film festivals. They received major prizes, including the Venice Golden Lion and two Palme d’Ors.

The international sales division distributes films with often daring content and a distinctive cinematic language.

Tarefas

They are looking for a globally minded and result-oriented colleague, with organisational skills and an avid interest in culture, to complete their team of thirty people working in a dynamic and international environment. You will assist the sales and marketing team and founder with the following:  

• Prepare financing applications for the acquisition and restoration of films.
• Prepare funding applications for the MEDIA strand of the European Commision.
• Schedule meetings for international Markets and festivals (Lumière, Cannes, Bologna, etc.).
• Plan and coordinate acquisition screenings for classic and recent films.
• Prepare memos and keep track of all research and discussions in our database.
• Prepare a Classics newsletter.
• Research the source materials available for the restorations of catalogue titles.
• Help assessing the status of catalogue titles, to help prioritise restorations.
• Researching possible collaborations with labs, helping with creating costs overviews.

Requisitos

• Passionate and knowledgeable about the history of cinema.
• Native or fully fluent English speaker, with an excellent command of two other languages (French, Italian, German or Japanese would be an advantage). 
• Able to demonstrate previous experience in the film industry (a plus).
• Interested in the technical aspects of films. A previous experience in film restoration or material deliveries would be a plus.
• Attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
• Organized and capable to prioritize.
• Precise, Proficient with Excel and databases.
• Capable of interacting with professionals in different sectors: film industry, public sector, finance.
• Computer savvy and proficient in cloud-based applications and virtual workspaces.

• Monthly salary of 1200 euros (before taxes).
