Full story
I joined an international internship in Seville with a clear goal in mind: to gain real, hands-on experience abroad while immersing myself in a new culture. I worked at a hostel bar, and my role quickly became much more than serving drinks. Every day, I interacted with guests from all over the world, helped them during their stay, answered questions, and contributed to creating a welcoming and social atmosphere that makes hostel life so special.
Working in a fast-paced, multicultural environment helped me develop strong interpersonal and customer service skills. I learned how to connect with people from different backgrounds, stay calm under pressure, and take on real responsibilities with confidence. One of the biggest highlights for me was improving my Spanish—using it daily in real-life situations accelerated my learning and made me feel much more comfortable communicating in everyday life.
I also really appreciated the positive working conditions and the supportive team. From the beginning, I felt well integrated into the organization and genuinely valued as part of the team. Beyond the professional side, the experience had a strong personal impact: I built meaningful friendships, gained cultural exposure, and created memories I’ll carry with me for a long time.
Overall, my internship abroad was incredibly satisfying. It combined professional growth, language development, and international mobility into one rewarding experience—one that has shaped both my career path and my personal outlook.
